DLW References, the new reference book from Armstrong to be released in February 2008, will contain more than 250 pages. The
volume will textually and visually document exciting architectural projects featuring the manufacturer's flooring. Layouts
and floor plans as well as interior and exterior views will bring the total of 52 architectural objects to life. Reflecting
Armstrong's long, architecturally oriented tradition, the volume includes impressive historical references such as the Bauhaus
Meisterhäuser in Dessau and the New City Hall in Bremen along with numerous examples of modern buildings and structures from
the fields of medical, educational, commercial, retail and cultural architecture. Artists as early as Peter Behrens, Mies
van der Rohe and Le Corbusier developed colors and designs for DLW Linoleum, and Armstrong remains loyal to this artistic
tradition. Working together with architects, it continues to create collections that possess an unmistakably unique radiance.
The elegant volume's glossy black hard cover with silver-colored printing demonstrates the same high standard of quality that
Armstrong applies to its products. Documented in German and English, textual references will be between two and six pages
in length. Armstrong struck a partnership to produce the volume with well known architectural photograph Werner Huthmacher,
who photographed most of the projects. Architect Roger Riewe from Graz (Austria) has gladly written an entertaining preface
that introduces the reader to the volume's theme. In his essay, Riewe playfully paints a bridge that connects the pleasure
of "slow food" to that of DLW Linoleum.
Yes, I would like to send you an Armstrong reference project, and would gladly agree to its publication in the DLW reference book by Armstrong or in other Armstrong publications.
