FOSSILIZED LEAF, METALLIC THREAD VISUALS HIGHLIGHT
NEW ARMSTRONG INFUSIONSÔ ACCENT CANOPY ADDITIONS
Palette of distinctive new designs includes natural and metallic
patterns that complement many of the visuals already in the line
CHICAGO, June 13, 2005 -- Armstrong Ceilings has expanded its line of Infusions accent canopies with the addition of a unique
new palette of natural and metallic visuals that range from fossilized leafs to metallic filaments.
The new additions enhance design opportunities for architects and designers by providing them with the opportunity to mix
and match use different shapes, colors, patterns, textures, sizes and even different ceiling heights to add visual impact
to spaces.
Infusions accent canopies create a unique "spaces within spaces" look through the use of floating ceiling canopies. The ability
to intermingle hills and valleys as well as colors and patterns helps create a custom look even though the system uses only
standard components.
"The new pattern additions also complement many of the popular solids that are already in the Infusions line," states Ann
Miller, Manager of Design for Armstrong Ceilings. "This provides architects and designers with even more flexibility by offering
them a much broader choice of options."
New Natural and Metallic Looks Added
Included among the new additions is a trio of patterns that feature a fossilized leaf visual. According to Miller, the new
patterns - Clear Arbor, Red Arbor and Blue Arbor - offer a link to nature and coordinate well with existing solids Caribbean
Renewal, Red Fire and Calm Water.
Crystalline Sky and Crystalline Silverado, two more additions, feature a layer of metallic threads or filaments that catch
the light and play strand off strand to create a rich, multi-depth, silken effect.
Indigo Surf, another new addition, is a simplistic, contemporary wave pattern that coordinates with the existing Midnight
Dream solid. Inspiration Ice, a translucent white visual, and Cultured Pearl, a more opaque white, have also been added.
Canopies Add Color and Definition
Infusions introduces color and definition to a space quickly and easily. As a result, the canopies can be used to define spaces,
accentuate an area, provide a focus, or create ceiling sculptures in a wide variety of applications ranging from high profile
corporate interiors to upscale retail and hospitality environments.
Available in 2’x 5’ and 2’x 6’ sizes with a 60 or 90 arc, Infusions can be used individually or in groupings to create an
array of different configurations, including hills and valleys. To create even more interest, the ceilings can be used at
varying heights.
Infusions is easy to install, requiring no special tools or installation techniques. The canopies are simply suspended from
the building structure or wall with a cable system or wall attachment. And, unlike most custom ceiling options, which often
have long lead times, Infusions is available with lead times of only three to five weeks.
